A Little About Me...

I was born in New York. My mother and father divorced when I was young and she remarried a few years later. We moved from place to place/state to state during my youth, and I wound up in Kentucky. I finished high school here, met and married my wife of twenty-four years, and we have two sons.

I began writing at a young age. Although, I had no idea that I would write books later on in life, and I hated English class. In grade school, I would write short stories for the other kids in my class. My friend would go around with a piece of paper and ask the other children what kind of story they wanted. He would return with a list of story ideas about "horses", "monsters", "Batman", etc.  I would write a story about the subject, and he would deliver it to the person who requested it.  We were charging fifteen cents for one page, and twenty-five cents for two. If it was a one page story I received ten cents, if it was two pages, I got fifteen. My friend (who was acting as my agent) got five cents for one page and ten cents for two.  It was great!

Now, here I am years later, writing actual books and short stories. Who would have thought? The truth is...I probably wouldn't be writing at all if it hadn't been for my wife. I have always written poetry, and short stories as a hobby. Not really thinking about getting them published. My wife kept onto me about this "stuff" cluttering up the place. (I had so many writings just laying around), she told me that I needed to "do something" with them. I told her to just put them in a drawer somewhere but she told me that she thought the poetry was good, and I should try to get it published. So, I did.  Basically, if you like my writings, I guess you should thank her for getting me off my butt, and "doing something" with them.
